Konya Beige Marble Supply

Konya is a historic beige marble production center in Turkey's Central Anatolia region. Marble beds historically used in Seljuk and Ottoman architecture still supply large-scale public, religious and prestige residential projects today. The warm-tone character matches Central Anatolia climate reference. Sipahi Marble runs direct producer relationships in the region.

REGION

Konya — Central Anatolia Beige Marble Deposits and Architectural Heritage

Konya province sits in the western-southern part of Central Anatolia. Regional geology hosts calcite-based beige marble beds in the karstic and metamorphic transitions of the Anatolian plateau. Konya beige marble was historically used in Seljuk and Ottoman architecture; today the region's production centers continue to supply restoration and new-build projects.

The Konya region has historically used beige marble in mosque courtyards, sultan tombs and madrasah buildings — today marble from the same region is preferred as a historical-continuity reference in restoration documentation and new mosque projects. Regional producers' craftsmanship and complex-carving experience also add advantage in decorative, sculpture and filet-cut applications.

Sipahi Marble sources from the Konya region through direct producer relationships. Road distance to our Adapazarı Tekeler supply coordination center is approximately 630 kilometers. Access to differently-characterized marble producers within the region makes vein-free, low-vein or mid-vein selection possible per project need.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Facade, Interior Flooring, Mosque Restoration, Countertop

Facade cladding

Konya beige marble suits facade strip-slab applications under TS EN 1469. The warm beige tone offers long-life durability in Central Anatolia climate conditions; panels are fixed with stainless steel mechanical anchors. Preferred in large-scale public and religious building projects that reference Seljuk-Ottoman architectural tradition.

Interior flooring

Under TS EN 12058, Konya beige marble delivers soft-tone advantage and low porosity as an interior floor slab. Polished finish suits hotel lobbies, banking halls and prestige residential entries; honed finish is preferred for living areas. The warm tone creates heat-resistant aesthetics in Central Anatolia climate spaces.

Mosque, courtyard and historic restoration

Historically used in Seljuk and Ottoman architecture, Konya beige marble remains a preferred choice today for restoration and new mosque projects. As courtyard paving, mihrab surround, column base and minaret base cladding, it unites traditional aesthetics with modern application standards. Filet cut edge profiles (bullnose, ogee) are produced at partner workshops.

Kitchen, bathroom countertop and modular tile

Beige tone pairs well with natural wood, white and cream cabinetry — frequently preferred in residential kitchen countertops. In bathroom vanity, shower banquette and modular tile (TS EN 12057) applications, Konya beige marble raises prestige. Konya's craftsmanship tradition means regional producers are experienced with complex-cut work.

SIPAHI SUPPLY MODEL

Direct Producer + Adapazarı Final QC + Cut-to-Size Coordination

Sipahi Marble runs a four-step business model for Konya beige marble orders. Sipahi is not a quarry operator and does not run its own CNC workshop; Sipahi serves as supplier, coordinator and fabrication partner — providing a single-point contact for the customer.

  1. Spec review and regional producer selection: Project spec is reviewed; block or slab reservation is opened with a suitable producer in the Konya region. For restoration projects, an additional sample report is prepared to match historic reference with vein character.
  2. Transfer to Adapazarı Tekeler + final QC: Regional material moves ~630 km by road to our Adapazarı Tekeler coordination center. Dimensional tolerance, vein continuity and color homogeneity are re-checked here.
  3. Cut-to-size coordination (on request): Cut-to-size CNC work is coordinated at partner fabrication workshops. For complex cutting, carving and filet work, Konya region's craftsmanship tradition offers added experience.
  4. Packaging, shipment and installation (on request): Domestic on wooden pallets, export in sea container crates. Export orders may leave Mersin or Ambarlı port per project routing. Certificate of Origin, warranty and technical spec file accompany the shipment.

QUALITY STANDARDS

CE, LEED and Restoration Specification

Konya beige marble is tested under TS EN standards and shipped with CE Declaration of Performance. Facade references TS EN 1469; flooring references TS EN 12058; modular tile references TS EN 12057.

In restoration projects, physical-property match with the historic reference marble is critical within the framework of foundation authority and preservation-board requirements; Sipahi shares producer test reports with the project's architect / preservation specialist team. ASTM C170, C880, C97 and C1028 values are provided with producer test reports for international projects.

For LEED-certified projects, producer location and material record are added to the submittal for Regional Materials credit. For prestige projects Sipahi arranges a physical inspection appointment at Adapazarı Tekeler for vein class, color match and dimensional tolerance review.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Konya Beige Marble — 7 Critical Questions

Are Konya beige marble and Cappadocia Green the same?

No. Konya beige marble is a standard beige marble with the Central Anatolian warm-tone character. Cappadocia Green is a separate greenish-onyx character natural stone from Central Anatolia, coordinated by some regional producers. Different geological formations, but both can be coordinated within the same Central Anatolia supply network — Sipahi routes the order to the correct regional producer based on project needs.

How does Konya beige marble differ from other Turkish beige marbles?

Konya beige marble offers warm tone and medium veining with the Central Anatolia geological character. It sits in the same broad beige marble family as Isparta beige (Sultan Beige) and Bilecik-Söğüt beige but differs in tonal depth and vein character. It is preferred for its historical continuity in large-scale public and religious building projects referencing Seljuk-Ottoman architecture.

How does Sipahi source from Konya?

Sipahi works through direct producer relationships in the Konya region. Once an order is confirmed, block/slab reservation is opened with the regional producer — on request, a photo report is prepared for vein-class and dimensional selection. Road distance to our Adapazarı Tekeler supply center is ~630 km; standard delivery lead time is 5-8 business days.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum for domestic orders — small kitchen countertops, bathroom panels and mosque restoration line items are served. For export orders one full container (~20-24 tons or 300-400 m²) is the economic floor. For samples and trade panels we arrange LTL solutions.

Block, slab or cut-to-size supply?

All three are available. Block supply up to 2.4 x 1.2 x 1.2 m typical; slab supply in 2400 x 1200 mm and 3200 x 1600 mm standard formats; cut-to-size cutting, surface treatment and packaging to project dimensions coordinated at partner workshops. Konya region's craftsmanship tradition provides added experience for complex-cut and carving work.

What determines pricing?

Konya beige marble pricing depends on three main factors: (1) vein class (vein-free / low-vein / mid-vein — vein-free is the higher tier), (2) surface finish (polished, honed, brushed, antiqued — combined finishes rise), (3) order volume (bulk-purchase advantage scales with size). For standard pricing tiers, share project details via WhatsApp or email; a written quote follows within 24-48 hours.

Are CE and LEED documents provided?

Yes. Konya beige marble ships under CE Declaration of Performance for TS EN 1469 (facade), TS EN 12058 (flooring) and TS EN 12057 (modular tiles). For LEED submittals, producer documentation is attached for Regional Materials contribution; technical values are included in the product spec sheet.
