Manisa Marble and Salihli Travertine Supply

Manisa is a dual-source natural stone production center in Turkey's Aegean region — both marble and Salihli line travertine are produced in the same geography. Aegean beige and white marble family products with Salihli travertine together give Sipahi single-coordination advantage in mixed-product projects. Proximity to İzmir port supports export logistics. Sipahi Marble runs direct producer relationships in the region.

REGION

Manisa and Salihli — Aegean Region Dual-Source Center

Manisa province sits in Turkey's Aegean region, northeast of İzmir. The broad regional geology hosts both metamorphic marble beds and thermal-water travertine deposits — travertine production is particularly widespread in the Salihli line districts. This dual resource makes Manisa one of the most versatile natural stone regions in the Aegean.

Manisa marble sits in the Aegean white and cream-beige marble family — sharing the wider geography of İzmir Bergama white and İzmir Honaz marble, but offering distinct vein-tone profiles. Salihli travertine is one of the known travertine producing nodes in the Aegean, with cross-cut and vein-cut options in a mid-cream tone.

Sipahi Marble sources from the Manisa region through direct producer relationships — both marble and travertine are coordinated from differently-specialized producers within the same region. Road distance to our Adapazarı Tekeler supply coordination center is ~620 km; proximity to İzmir port (under 100 km) provides regional advantage in export container shipments.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Facade, Interior Flooring, Poolside, Countertop

Facade cladding

Manisa marble and Salihli travertine suit facade applications under TS EN 1469 with Aegean regional character. White and cream-beige tone provides a clean and soft aesthetic for residential, hotel and İzmir-axis office facades; panels are fixed with stainless steel mechanical anchors. Proximity to İzmir creates a freight advantage in regional projects.

Interior flooring — dual option

Under TS EN 12058, the Manisa region offers both marble and travertine alternatives. Polished white marble suits modern prestige interiors; epoxy-filled + polished travertine suits classic-to-modern transition interiors. Provides a regional-continuity reference for İzmir and Aegean projects.

Poolside, terrace and landscape — Salihli travertine

Under TS EN 1341, Salihli line travertine (tumbled or brushed) is used for poolside, terrace, spa areas and landscape stone. Natural water absorption reduces slip risk; long-life durability under Aegean climate. Preferred in Aegean tourism-belt hotel projects.

Kitchen, bathroom countertop and modular tile

Manisa marble is used in kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity and modular tile (TS EN 12057) applications with its white and cream-beige tone character. The Aegean region's architectural tradition means regional partner workshops carry experience in variable dimension and finish work. Filet cut edge profiles (bullnose, ogee) are produced at partner workshops.

SIPAHI SUPPLY MODEL

Dual-Product Coordination + İzmir Port Proximity

Sipahi Marble runs Manisa region marble and Salihli travertine supply under a single coordination. Sipahi is not a quarry operator and does not run its own CNC workshop; Sipahi serves as supplier, coordinator and fabrication partner — a single-point contact for the customer.

  1. Product mix and producer selection: Project spec is reviewed; if it includes a marble + travertine mix, parallel reservations are opened with our two producer contacts. Fill type and cut direction for travertine, vein class for marble are set at this step.
  2. Transfer to Adapazarı Tekeler + final QC: Regional material moves ~620 km by road to our Adapazarı Tekeler coordination center. Dimensional tolerance, vein/bedding continuity and color homogeneity are re-checked here.
  3. Cut-to-size coordination (on request): Cut-to-size CNC work is coordinated at our partner fabrication workshops. Aegean partner workshop experience provides advantage on complex-cut and large-scale order work.
  4. Packaging, shipment and installation (on request): Domestic on wooden pallets, export in sea container crates. For export orders İzmir port is the main exit point given regional proximity; Ambarlı is also used as an alternative. Certificate of Origin, warranty and technical spec file accompany the shipment.

QUALITY STANDARDS

CE, LEED and Export Documentation

Manisa marble and Salihli travertine are tested under TS EN standards and shipped with CE Declaration of Performance. Facade references TS EN 1469; flooring references TS EN 12058; external paving references TS EN 1341. For travertine, TS EN 13755 (water absorption) sitting within the specified range is critical for exterior applications.

Proximity to İzmir port provides a regional advantage in export container shipments — road distance from Manisa production nodes to İzmir port is under 100 km. This proximity shortens delivery lead time for container planning and reduces freight cost.

For international projects, ASTM C170, C880, C97 and C1028 values are provided together with producer test reports. For LEED-certified projects, producer location and material record are added to the submittal for Regional Materials credit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Manisa Marble + Salihli Travertine — 7 Critical Questions

What marble types does Manisa produce?

The Manisa region produces both marble and travertine. Main marble profiles: white marble (eastern extension of classic Aegean white) and cream-beige marble. Widespread travertine production also exists in the Salihli line. This broad geological richness makes an important contribution to Aegean natural stone variety. Sipahi routes the order to the correct regional producer based on product and character needs.

How does Manisa marble differ from İzmir Bergama and İzmir Honaz marble?

All three sit in the eastern-northern Aegean line. İzmir Bergama marble: pronounced veining in classic Aegean white character. İzmir Honaz marble: vein-free, high homogeneity. Manisa marble: various profiles with different vein-tone characters between the two. Salihli travertine also positions Manisa among travertine-producing regions.

How does Sipahi source from Manisa?

Sipahi works through direct producer relationships in the Manisa region. Once an order is confirmed, block/slab reservation is opened with the appropriate regional producer by product type (marble/travertine) — on request, a photo report is prepared for vein, bedding and fill selection. Road distance to our Adapazarı Tekeler supply center is ~620 km; standard delivery lead time is 5-8 business days.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum for domestic orders — small residential and boutique project line items are served. For export orders one full container (~20-24 tons or 300-400 m²) is the economic floor. Proximity to İzmir port provides a regional advantage in export container shipments.

Block, slab or cut-to-size supply?

All three are available. Block supply up to 2.4 x 1.2 x 1.2 m typical; slab supply in 2400 x 1200 mm and 3200 x 1600 mm standard formats; cut-to-size cutting, surface treatment and packaging to project dimensions coordinated at partner workshops. Aegean partner workshop experience provides advantage on complex-cut work.

What determines pricing?

Manisa marble and travertine pricing depends on five main factors: (1) product type (marble vs travertine), (2) vein/bedding character, (3) fill type for travertine, (4) surface finish, (5) order volume. For standard pricing tiers, share project details via WhatsApp or email; a written quote follows within 24-48 hours.

Are CE and LEED documents provided?

Yes. Manisa marble and Salihli travertine ship under CE Declaration of Performance for TS EN 1469 (facade), TS EN 12058 (flooring), TS EN 12057 (modular tiles) and TS EN 1341 (external paving). For LEED submittals, producer documentation is attached for Regional Materials contribution; technical values are included in the product spec sheet.
