Cut-to-Size Turkish Marble & Custom Dimension Stone — For US Architects, Designers, and Contractors
Sipahi Mermer is a cut-to-size fabrication partner for US project teams — custom dimension slabs up to 3200×1600 mm, thickness 12–80+ mm, curved facade panels with undercut mechanical anchoring, ±0.5 mm precision. Not a wholesale distributor: a designed engagement covering consultation, US sample delivery, project-based quote, shop drawings, Turkish workshop fabrication, QC and door-to-door logistics. Turkish since 1989 quarry-to-project experience, İMİB certified exporter (Member No 336480).

Cut-to-Size Scope
The technical envelope Sipahi's Sakarya workshop produces to for US projects — dimensions, thickness, finish, anchoring and tolerance, all on the same production run.
Slab Dimensions
Custom dimension slabs from small-format tile through large-format slabs up to 3200×1600 mm. Cut to the project's drawings and quantity take-off, not sold from a fixed stock program. Wall panels, floor pavers, book-matched sequences and site-specific reveals produced on the same run.
Thickness Range 12 mm to 80 mm+
12 mm and 20 mm for interior wall and floor cladding, 30 mm for countertops and heavy-traffic flooring, 40–80 mm and thicker for exterior facade cladding, staircase treads and pool coping. Cut on the same production line, coordinated across an entire project scope.
Finish Types (In-House)
Polished, honed, leathered, brushed and split-face finishes produced in the same Sakarya workshop. A single stone family can be specified consistently across facade, interior floor, wall and countertop, without mixing suppliers or drifting on shade between finishes.
Anchor Systems (Mechanical / Glued / Chemical)
Mechanical undercut anchoring for facade cladding (AISI 316 stainless standard on coastal-exposure specification), adhesive systems for interior applications, and chemical anchoring where the substrate condition or fire-rating scope demands it. System selection coordinated with the project's structural and facade consultant.
Tolerance + QC Standards
±0.5 mm dimensional tolerance on cut-to-size production. Pre-shipment QC inspects dimensional accuracy, finish uniformity, edge integrity and shade match against the approved sample — documented photo protocol on every crate before container loading.
Project Workflow — 6 Steps
The same workflow runs on every US cut-to-size project — a designed engagement, not an anonymous slab quote. Architects and general contractors see a repeatable process from first drawings to on-site delivery.
-
1 · Design Consultation
Review of drawings, elevations and material specifications with the architect or project team. Stone selection, finish, thickness and anchoring approach confirmed before any commercial commitment. No obligation, no rate card presented at this stage.
-
2 · Physical Sample Delivery (US)
Cut sample sections across selected finishes and thicknesses shipped to the architect or contractor's US office ahead of specification lock. Standard US trade-sample practice — a paper spec sheet is not a substitute for a real slab in hand.
-
3 · Project-Based Quote
A detailed, itemized quote priced against the project scope — material, cut specification, packaging, FOB pricing. Not a per-m² wholesale rate card. Typical turnaround: 3–5 business days from receipt of drawings or materials list.
-
4 · Shop Drawings + Templates
Shop drawings, cutting layouts and physical templates prepared for anchoring, joint and reveal detail. Coordinated with the project's structural and facade consultant where applicable. Included in the project-based quote, not billed separately.
-
5 · Turkish Fabrication (Sakarya)
CNC waterjet and bridge-saw fabrication at the Sakarya workshop, held to the tolerance and finish spec agreed at Step 3. In-progress documentation (photos, dimensional check reports) available on request during the fabrication window.
-
6 · QC + Export Documentation + Door-to-Door Logistics
Pre-shipment quality control, full export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, İMİB member documentation for customs), and door-to-door container logistics from Sakarya to the US job site.
Case Study — Landmark Facade in Sakarya
The reference project that anchors Sipahi's cut-to-size positioning — a landmark curved marble facade produced end-to-end at the Sakarya workshop and installed with undercut mechanical anchoring.
Sipahi's largest completed reference is a landmark curved marble facade in Sakarya, Turkey — a multi-thousand m² curved marble facade produced entirely at the Sakarya workshop and installed with an undercut mechanical anchoring system.
AISI 316 stainless steel corrosion-resistant anchor system, specified for long-term structural performance and coordinated with the project's structural engineering and facade consultant teams throughout fabrication and installation.
Delivered on-schedule as part of a landmark residential development — the reference project that anchors Sipahi's US positioning as a cut-to-size fabrication partner rather than a wholesale slab distributor. Full project documentation is available on request under NDA for US specification review.
Why Turkish Cut-to-Size
The structural reasons a US architect or general contractor chooses Turkish cut-to-size over an Italian equivalent, once material, cost, accountability and regulatory posture are held to the same standard.
Quarry-to-Project Single Supplier
Sipahi's long-standing quarrying and processing partnerships mean a single accountable party from the block face through the finished cut-to-size cladding on the container. No hidden middleman markup, no split accountability between quarry, processor and exporter.
Family-Managed, Three Generations
Family firm since 1989 under third-generation management. A single owner-manager on the other end of the WhatsApp thread is the operating norm, not a promise — accountability that survives a specific project team change on the client side.
İMİB Member — Regulated Turkish Exporter
Member of İMİB (Istanbul Mineral Exporters' Association), Member No 336480, since August 2026. İMİB membership is the standard regulatory credential US customs and trade counterparties expect from a legitimate Turkish stone exporter.
Turkish Lira Cost Advantage vs. Italian Equivalent
The current Turkish Lira position against USD and EUR translates into an approximate 40%–60% cost advantage against comparable Italian marble specifications on the same project scope — with the material coming from the same Anatolian quarry belt that supplied Roman construction two thousand years ago.
