PACKAGE SCOPE

Shop Drawing → CNC → Undercut → Finishing → QC → Shipment

Shop drawing → panel schedule conversion

The shop drawing PDF or DWG from the architect is analyzed; a panel schedule (count, size, finish, anchor position) is generated. Sipahi converts this schedule to a production plan at the partner CNC workshop with cutting layout optimization (waste minimization via CAD nesting).

Partner CNC bridge saw + water jet

Panel sizes from small 40 x 40 cm up to 300 x 150 cm formats are coordinated at partner CNC workshops. Bridge saw for straight cuts, water jet for complex geometry (sculptural panels, curved facades), CNC router for edge profiles (bullnose, ogee) and chamfering. Sipahi is the single coordinator; workshop infrastructure sits in the partner's inventory.

Undercut anchor pocket drilling

If the AISI 316 mechanical anchor is a concealed plate or undercut type, the conical anchor pocket is CNC-drilled on the back face of the panel. No visible mark remains on the front face — facade aesthetics and mechanical safety are achieved together. Pocket dimensions are standardized per anchor manufacturer spec.

Surface finishing — polished, honed, brushed, leathered

Finish is part of the facade design language — polished (reflective, prestige), honed (matte, modern), brushed (textured, outdoor-friendly), leathered (rustic feel), sandblasted (slip-resistant). Sipahi can apply combination finishes on a single panel (e.g. polished-honed band); combination precision scales with the partner workshop's quality.

Sipahi final QC + Adapazarı intermediate storage

Every batch coming off partner fabrication arrives at the Adapazarı Tekeler supply coordination center. Panel dimensional tolerance (±1 mm), finish uniformity, vein continuity and anchor pocket position are inspected by the Sipahi team. Defective panels are returned to the workshop. Intermediate storage offers 30-60 day panel hold on client request.

Packaging + shipment + LEED submittal PDF

Panel-by-panel packaging — small panels in cardboard + shrink wrap, large panels in wooden crates. Export shipments use ISPM-15 stamped crates + sea container. Panel label (code, size, position, photo) matches the shop drawing — no confusion on site. LEED submittal distance calculation PDF + origin certificate accompany the shipment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Cut-to-Size Facade Panel — 8 Critical Questions

What's the difference between cut-to-size and standard slab supply?

Standard slab supply (2400 x 1200 mm or 3200 x 1600 mm) suits fabricators who cut in their own factory or local workshop — Sipahi ships slabs only. Cut-to-size supply is project-specific bespoke panel production at Sipahi's partner CNC workshop against the shop drawing — the client receives finished-ready product on site, no local cutting needed. Cut-to-size carries higher added value but longer lead time and demands rigorous shop drawings.

What scale range — small or large?

Sipahi accepts cut-to-size orders from 100 m² boutique residential facade programs up to 10,000 m² large-scale residential / hotel / business center facade programs. Below 100 m² bespoke projects are evaluated on a request basis — especially architect-designed art panel orders. The partner CNC workshop infrastructure is scaled to run large batches in parallel.

Can curved facades or sculptural panels be produced?

Yes — complex-geometry panels are produced at the partner workshop via water jet + CNC router combination. For curved facades, relief cutting on the panel back face or a composite backer application creates the curvature. Sculptural panels follow a 3D CAD → CNC production workflow. Sample panel step is mandatory for these bespoke projects; delivery adds 2-3 weeks over standard cut-to-size.

Why is the undercut anchor pocket needed?

Certain AISI 316 mechanical anchor types (especially undercut type) require a conical profile pocket on the panel back face. The anchor's undercut head sits in this pocket; no visible mark remains on the front face. Pocket dimensions are standardized per anchor manufacturer spec (typically 8-12 mm depth, 5-8 mm throat). Sipahi's partner CNC workshop drills this pocket with an undercut drilling apparatus — match with the structural-engineer-approved anchor type is critical.

How does the panel labeling system work?

A printed label is applied to the back face of each panel — the label carries: (1) project code, (2) shop drawing panel number, (3) size, (4) finish type, (5) vein direction and (6) facade position (e.g. Block A / Floor 3 / Panel 47). The site installation team reads the panel number from the shop drawing and installs it in the correct position — no confusion. Labels are weatherproof for export shipments.

What is the lead time?

100-500 m² small-scale cut-to-size order: 4-6 weeks (shop drawing intake + partner CNC production + Adapazarı final QC + packaging). 1,000-5,000 m² mid-scale: 8-12 weeks. 10,000 m² large scale: 12-16 weeks. Complex-geometry projects like curved facade or sculptural panels add 2-3 weeks. The delivery program is issued in writing at project start; tracked via weekly progress reports.

What is the waste ratio?

On standard cut-to-size projects, slab layout optimization keeps waste in the 10-15% range. On complex geometry (curved facade, sculptural panels) or high vein continuity demand, this can rise to 20-25%. Sipahi's partner CNC workshops use CAD nesting software for waste minimization — panel layout is auto-optimized. Waste material is routed to recycling or crushed-stone sectors.

What information should the shop drawing PDF/DWG contain?

Minimum: (1) facade elevation plan, (2) panel layout plan, (3) size and count per panel, (4) finish type (polished, honed, brushed, etc.), (5) vein direction (vein-cut / cross-cut), (6) anchor position and type, (7) joint width and (8) special geometry (curved, chamfered edge, notch). In DWG format, panel numbering shortens the order cycle. Detail layers (structural, anchor, MEP penetrations) should be on separate layers.
